Linux..........Freedom
Hello all, I believe it's time I posted something about Linux on here since I decided to get myself a copy of FreeBSD today. If you go to Here then you will be able to download just about every version of linux thats out and avaliable. Everything from Redhat to Yellow Dog. Lots of great versions, but not all of them. The one that I noticed missing is Knoppix-STD. This is a wonderful version of Linux which you have to go here to get. You can download it or buy a cd with it on it. Now it's true that Knoppix is on Linuxiso.org, but not the std version. The std version is wonderful because if you burn it to a cd, just toss it into your pc and reboot. Linux will run strait from the cd so theres no installing needed. Another amazing distro of Linux is Ubuntu and what this group has done is you can go to their site and and request cds of their versions. Free of charge, this group will mail them to you. Now, I will hopefully be donating some money to this group because I believe they are worth it, willing to do all this for free. Another bonus of this group is that they didn't put a limit on the number of cds you can request. I requested 40 since there are 3 different versions.
If you've never used linux then you should fret not. A site has come to the rescue with massive help for you. Yes Linux is different than windows, but that doesn't mean worse. In fact Linux is rated to have less security holes than Windows.
In the grand Scheme of things, Linux has come a long way. I have love in my heart for it, do you? Plus by using linux you can rob Bill Gates of just a bit more money :)
This was AK, later
